PerkinElmer Launches New Cloud-Based Platform for Workflow Management


PerkinElmer (NYSE: PKI) today announced the launch of its PKeye Workflow Monitor for remote workflow management and monitoring.

PerkinElmer’s cloud-based PKeye workflow monitor, based in Waltham, Mass., Allows lab staff to remotely manage PerkinElmer instruments and workflows in real time with 24/7 access. 7 and visibility into laboratory operations.

According to a press release, the cloud-based web design and centralized summary dashboard provide authorized users with a way to monitor and view real-time status updates, receive notifications, execute completion data and view video clips remotely from offices, meetings or home.

The platform informs users of the start, stop and end of operations thanks to the possibility of receiving notifications by e-mail or SMS. It can also alert users if manual intervention is required, such as replenishing tips or the need to reload reagents.

The instruments come with video recording capabilities so that the platform can record and store specific events and errors for users to study at a later date.

PKeye is currently available for visual monitoring with the PerkinElmer Janus G3, Sciclone G3 and Zephyr G3 workstations. It is also compatible with the LabChip GX Touch instrument and the Chemagic 360 platform.
