NITIE Launches 2nd Edition of Highly Successful Online Global Certification Course on “Business and Operations Analytics 2022”


The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, one of the leading institutes in the field of management studies, has successfully launched the 2nd edition of the highly successful Global Online Certification Course on “Business and Operations Analytics 2022″ in collaboration with Prof. David Simchi-Levi from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, under the supervision of Professor Manoj Tiwari (Director, NITIE). This is a 30-hour weekend-only course, scheduled from February 12 to March 13, 2022, designed for industry professionals, academics and students.

The course was inaugurated virtually on 12th February 2022 by the Honorable Chief Guest – Shri K Sanjay Murthy, IAS – (Secretary for Higher Education of India, Ministry of Education), Shri V Kalyana Rama (President and Managing Director of Container Corporation of India) and Shri Shyam Jagannathan, IAS (Zonal Development Commissioner, Santa Cruz Electronic Export Processing Zone) as keynote speakers. With over 1500 attendees from over 6 countries and over 335 companies including renowned national and global organizations such as CONCOR, Micron, Tata Steel, Flipkart, IOCL, KPMG, Accenture, L&T, Amazon, PwC, Cisco and more others, this course has received an incredible response.

The pandemic has accelerated a global digital transition, highlighting the importance of supply chain strategies to become more robust, collaborative and networked with consumers, suppliers and other stakeholders. In light of this, NITIE has launched courses like these to give a platform for industry professionals and students to enhance their business analysis skills which is the need of the hour. The session focused on how various businesses operate and adapt to changing conditions and how a provocative India is trying to seize this opportunity offered by rapid digital transformation. Shri K Sanjay Murthy provided participants with an overview of the Indian government’s significant efforts to enhance the mastery of big data to meet the future need for analytics in the corporate sector, highlighting how the NEP plans to improve the use of technology in education. Shri V Kalyana Rama discussed how analytics allows business users to visualize data from various data sources in a single holistic view of the business, as well as how data is used in the logistics industry by pulling leveraging advanced technologies, accelerating the transition to more efficient and sustainable technologies. supply chains. Shri Shyam Jagannathan mentioned the crucial role supply chain plays in economic growth, being one of the five pillars of the Aatmanirbhar campaign. Professor David Simchi-Levi, a recognized professor and thought leader in the field of business analysis, will lead the majority of the course sessions.
