The Medical economics 2021 Physician Bootcamp offers nine hours of educational and advice-based programs designed to help physicians manage their business and personal finances.

All sessions of the free two-day digital bootcamp are available online free of charge to those who have registered. Registration gives you access to the full video recording of the presentation, as well as access to the presenter slides.

Here are the available sessions:

  • Avoiding Friendly Fire: Patient Relations 2.0 – Physicians will learn how to digitally engage patients, how practices should go to market, and how to compete with models of care like hands-on clinics of care. It introduces Luke Kervin, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of PatientPop and Norm Shrager, Head of Content Strategy for PatientPop.
  • Call for Reinforcements: Staffing and Workforce Management – Discover staffing best practices with lessons learned from COVID-19, tips for improving retention and planning, and how to improve office efficiency. It will feature Owen Dahl, LFACHE, CHBC, LSSMBB, Director of Owen Dahl Consulting.
  • Basic Telehealth Training – Gain a good understanding of current telehealth rules and regulations, improve telehealth programs to increase patient satisfaction and find solutions to common mistakes in telehealth payment.   • Decipher the Morse Code of Medical Malpractice – Identify common reasons for lawsuits and how to avoid risky situations, receive practical tips to improve communication with patients about medical errors and complications, and find out what to do and not to do in the event of a complaint or prosecution of a patient.   • Tales from the Trenches: A Concierge Medicine Roundtable – A discussion by concierge physicians on the benefits of the model and how to overcome the challenges. It will include Bradley Hunter, DO; James Jones, MD; Gay Purcell, MD; and Mark Gomez, MD.
  • Navigating the Glove: Coding and Documentation Best Practices – Understand changes to E / M coding and what they may mean for the end result, an overview of the most common reasons for claim denials. It will feature Bill Dacey, MHA, MBA, CPC, CPC-I, director of The Dacey Group, Inc.
  • Financial aptitude test: practice finance and revenue cycle management: learn practical tips for assessing the financial situation of a practice and explain revenue cycle management, and how to select the best partner for cycle management of income. The session will feature Andrew Harding, RCM expert and Vice President of Customer Success at Rivet.
  • Remote Patient Monitoring Proficiency Test – Find out how to get started with remote patient monitoring with an explanation of what it is, what physicians need, the benefits and challenges.
