Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by ending hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, especially during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Recent developments in Ukraine have led over 5.7 million refugees to flee Ukraine across borders and a further 7.7 million have been displaced within Ukraine. The approximately 13 million people stranded in Ukraine face shortages of basic needs such as water, food and medicine.

3,143,550 refugees crossed the Polish border, 453,848 refugees crossed the Moldovan border and 856,941 refugees the Romanian border.

This situation led ACF France to open three missions in Ukraine, Poland and Romania and ACF Spain in Moldova.

In Ukraine, WASH activities are ongoing in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zapporizhzha and Ivano-Frankivsk with partners (distribution of hygiene items and improvements/rehabilitations of small-scale WASH infrastructure). ACF also runs MHPSS activities with local partners in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zapporizhzha. ACF also offers CASH and Health activities in Chernistva. YOUR JOB AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an MHPSS Program Manager, you will implement and oversee high quality MHPSSP programs in line with the MHPSSP country strategy and standards set internationally, by ACF and by national policies. More specifically, you will: – Participate in the recruitment of national staff (psychologists and PSWs) – Support the capacity building of the MHPSS team – Lead the identification and management of relationships with partners for MHPSS programming, as appropriate – Implement and monitor MHPSS activities – Manage the M&E aspect and reporting of the program. – Recruit and build the capacity of a national staff member to assume the role of PM MHPSS.


– Master’s degree in clinical psychology, psychology, psychiatry, social work or related field with experience in the psychosocial sector and the humanitarian field (traumatology will be an advantage); – At least five years of experience (minimum of 2 years in the humanitarian sector), field experience is mandatory; – Training experience would be an asset; – Ability to change priorities and flexibility are important. – Professional experience in budget management; – Professional experience in team management (supervision, delegation, motivation, conflict management); – Good sense of organization, ability to set priorities and manage time; – Fluency in written and spoken English required; Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an asset.


– Fixed-term contract of 3 months under French legislation – Gross monthly salary from 2010 to 2335EUR depending on experience – Monthly per diem and subsistence allowance: 686EUR net, paid in the field – Monthly country allowance: 450EUR – Child allowance: 1500EUR per year and per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year) – 16% of the gross monthly salary for the reimbursement of pension insurance for foreign nationals – Transport and accommodation: Support for transport and bed and breakfast – Medical cover: 100% coverage of health and safety contributions + health insurance) and repatriation insurance – Leave and RnR: 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR for each RnR period – Training: Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge ©
