Alasdair Gold has revealed that interest in Tottenham defender Joe Rodon is growing as the summer transfer window approaches.

Rodon has barely had any game time since Antonio Conte arrived at Tottenham but the centre-back continues to impress for Wales.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old put in another solid display for his country alongside Ben Davies at the back as the Dragons beat Ukraine to book their place at the Qatar World Cup.

The former Swansea man may have played his last game for Tottenham already, with reports indicating he could leave the club this summer in search of regular playing time (The evening norm).

Gold has now confirmed Rodon is looking for regular football and clubs are interested in the centre-back.

The reporter also revealed that Emerson Royal and Giovani Lo Celso are not short of interest from La Liga, while Bryan Gil will also attract offers from Spain should Spurs decide to showcase the winger.

Asked if there are any exits in the pipeline for Tottenham, Gold replied in a Q&A on Football.London: “Bergwijn has now come out publicly and said he wants to leave and Ajax will try to make that happen.

“Lo Celso and Emerson Royal both have interest from La Liga clubs and Bryan Gil will certainly have it if Spurs decide he needs to leave again this summer, either on loan or on a permanent basis.

“Harry Winks will have no shortage of offers as he is looking for regular football next season and interest is growing in Joe Rodon as he wants the same.”

Boosts web opinion

We haven’t really seen enough of Rodon to say if he can make the cut in the Premier League. Considering how little football he has played since joining the club two years ago, the centre-back can’t be blamed for pushing for a transfer this summer.
