Best $29 I’ve Spent On Running Headphones

Hey guy’s/gal’s, hope you’re doing well today?

If not, by the time you make it to the end of this article, you’ll be feeling great since I finally found (what I think is) the best headphones for runners. With that being said, let’s get started.

They Don’t Have Headphones Designed Specifically For Runners

I’ve tried thus far the following brands:

  • Apple Ear Pods
  • Sennheiser
  • JVC
  • Bose
  • Sony
  • Beats By Dre

Despite these brands making some of the best headphones, unfortunately, they all have one thing in common, they were NOT designed for runners. One of the common problems all of these headphones have is that they would fall out of your ear when running. The reason why this happens is due to two things

  1. Poor Design
  2. Sweaty Ears

For whatever reason, headphone manufacturers seem to cater to everyone but runners and their product line prove it, I’ve tried just about every headphone you can imagine and I can safely say they were not designed with runners in mind. For example, look at what happened to my headphones one morning, I was out for my morning run and was so into the song and did not realize that my headphones were slowly slipping out my ear before it was too late:

Headphones fell in the mud

As you can see from the photos above, my headphones fell in the mud and I had to finish my morning run without any music (poor me) or risk getting an ear infection.

When you run, the vibration that you feel when your shoes hit the pavement in a rhythmic motion travels all the way up to your ear + the sweat your ears are producing causes your headphones to slip out of your ears extremely easily. Some people have it worse than others (depending on your sweat glands).

So How Did I Solve This Problem?

So, do you want to know how I solved this issue? I simply just purchased headphones designed specifically for runners. As I’ve said at the beginning of this article, up until this point, there were no headphones designed specifically for runners but a company called “Raven Gadgets” designs these headphones specifically for runners. They are wireless Bluetooth headphones.

You can check them out by clicking here:

They contain a proprietary design which essentially hooks onto the ear (as you can see in my photo below):

So you can literally go skydiving and these things won’t pop out of your ears (which is a first for me) when it comes to headphones. It uses some type of sweat resistant material and it’s comfortable to wear on very long runs and the customer support is simply great.

Are these the best sounding headphones?

No, the sound quality is average with decent bass.

Are they the most suitable for running?

Absolutely! You won’t find anything better (from my experience).

If you’re in the market for headphones then I highly suggest you check out these headphones, it’s worth every penny.
